One Tree Planted

In a mission to further reduce the environmental impact of our riding leggings, we were wracking our brains to find a charity that would really help us do just that.

We came across One Tree Planted during that mission and are absolutely delighted to be able to work alongside them to contribute towards reforestation around the globe.

Started in 2014, One Tree Planted have more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. They now work with awesome reforestations partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help them get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.

One Tree Planted pools the donations for each project and send the funds to their reforestation partners.
Depending on the project, their partners choose the best tree species to plant and work with local communities to get them in the ground. Planting typically happens in the rainy season when the soil is wet and provides optimal conditions for tree survival.

Once all the trees are in the ground they send out a report highlighting the impact of the tree WE have paid for.

Each quarter, we'll be asking our customers to pick the areas that our trees go to. We can choose from projects across Latin America, Asia, Africa and more!

One tree from the sale of every pair of riding leggings sold will go to One Tree Planted. Every single penny donated will go towards the trees so we can be sure any carbon from leggings production is offset.

Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.

However, we all know that the world's tree population is being heavily impacted for our own needs. One Tree Planted aims to protect critical wildlife habitat and provide sustainable livelihoods to local people. A cause that is well and truly aligned with our values.
