World Horse Welfare
WHAT THEY DO
World Horse Welfare is an international horse charity founded in 1927 that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care, funded by voluntary donations
The charity supports the responsible use of horses in sport and is an independent welfare advisor both to the British Horseracing Authority and the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). In the UK the charity rescues, rehabilitates and operated the largest rehoming scheme of its kind. Internationally they work with some of the world’s poorest communities in 15 countries, helping them to better care for the horses that families rely on. The charity continues to campaign to end long distance transportation of horses to slaughter across Europe.
WHY WE LOVE THEM
We all love our horses and our sport and strive to look after them to the best of our abilities. Unfortunately, that’s not the same for all horses around the world. World Horse Welfare strives every day to improve the lives of horses that aren’t so privileged and put an end to their suffering, working hard to give more horses a better chance in life.
WHAT THEY SAY
"We are excited to be supported by Honest Riders whose passion for horses really shines through their fresh and stylish collection. We are funded by voluntary donations and each centre line sweater sold will help to protect the welfare of horses. We are grateful to Honest Riders for giving back to support horses in need and look forward to seeing the collection take shape."
