6 ways to save money on your horse care products,,,

Times are a bit tough aren't they?

Especially when you've got a horse to look after on top of rising energy bills and the general cost of living. 💸

If you're looking for ways to make keeping a horse 🐴  that little bit more...affordable🤯, have a read through these 6 tips to reduce your horse care spend.

Every little helps, as they say! 💰

1/ SHOP YOUR TACK ROOM

Need to give your horse a bath and plait him up for the first time in ages? Have a good dig through your tack room - chances are you've already got that shampoo and plaiting spray you were just about to re-buy.

Try and use products up before you buy more. Otherwise you'll find yourself with a tack room full of half-empty bottles!

If you've gone off a particular product, could you give it to a friend?

2/ GO SMALL

If you need to buy a product you have never used before or don't use very frequently, buy a smaller quantity of it.

Horse care goes out of date just like makeup or food, so the last thing you want is big pots of product that end up in the bin.

We sell mini versions of many of our products so you can do just that!

3/ BUY REFILLS

Did you know we stock refills for many of our most popular products?

Just keep the spray / pump nozzle on the first one you buy and when you've run out, buy the refill version. It's always cheaper!

Check out the Well Gel products - they're great for offering refills. Our Honest Horse Shampoo Bars can also be bought without a new sisal bag, saving your precious pounds!

4/ CHECK OUT THE REVIEWS / GET RECOMMENDATIONS

Check out the reviews for the product you're looking at before you buy. Our website has reviews from customers just like you - we publish them all; good, bad or in-between! It will stop you from buying a product that might not be quite right.

If you need to help your horse with a particular ailment, drop us a message - we've tested and used every single one of the products we sell on our own horses so can point you in the right direction.

5/ BUY CHEAP, BUY TWICE

You don't need to find the most expensive horse care to do a good job, but do beware of 'cheap' products.

They're cheap for a reason - usually because the ingredients it contains are synthetically produced. Synthetic ingredients are generally not good for the planet, for you, or for your horse in the long run! Plus, if it doesn't do a great job, it will end up collecting dust in your tack room and you'll be heading straight back online to find an alternative!

6/ SIGN UP TO A LOYALTY SCHEME

Whilst it might sound contrived, buying from one place and getting points every time you shop, could save you a huge amount through the discounts you earn.

Make each purchase work for you!

(and yes, we have got a very rewarding loyalty scheme in case you were wondering ;-) Head here and check out Rider Rewards)
