Honest Horse | HOOF SHINE

WHY WE LOVE IT

Did you know that many Hoof Oils contain acetone, formaldehyde and/or alcohol, which will damage the protective fats and dry out the hoof?

Not only that, when they inevitably wash off and end up in our waterways they have the potential to be highly toxic to marine life.

So many farriers complain when us horse owners use these acetone-based products on our horses hooves as they are so drying.

We had to find a better, more sustainable way to achieve shiny toes! So we've been working to develop an alternative that will not only give the show look you want, but will also add condition to your horses hooves.

THE HOOF SHINE WITH A DIFFERENCE

The Honest Horse Hoof Shine uses natural ingredients to create a show-ring shine for your horses hooves. It is a clear liquid, so suitable for all hoof colours.

    The Hoof Shine will...

    • Give hooves a high shine
    • Prevent brittle, dry and damaged hooves
    • Creates a natural barrier against environmental aggressors
    • Protect hooves from bacterial, fungal & microbial attacks

    WHY IT'S MORE SUSTAINABLE

    SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

Just like the Soap Bars and Rinse Bombs before it, we've taken a step away from the plastic packaging and gone aluminium for our Hoof Shine. Aluminium is endlessly recyclable and when processed through the recycling system in the UK, can take its new life-form within 60 days! Plastic on the other hand can only be recycled a handful of times before needing to be downcycled. Producing aluminium from recycled material saves 75% of the energy needed if steel were made from virgin material.

    HOW TO USE

Ensure hooves are clean and dry

Apply a medium-thickness layer onto hoof wall, frog and sole.

Stand back and admire their shiny toes!
